F1 France

All those blue and red stripes made me dizzy… or maybe it was the double hopped IPA… anyway…

I haven’t updated the blog for a while, although I have been updating the graph, which is now up-to-date for France.

It is still a very close competition from top to bottom this year.  Congratulations bogsters and FN’s High Flyers, who are currently in joint first place in the main M&B league.

F1 Bahrain

Bogsters and FN’s High Flyers are tied at the top and are likely to remain that way (although not necessarily at the top) until one of them changes their team.  They are also both doing well in the maine M&B league.

Team Hermes is close behind in third.  WosDT in fourth are the first team to make a driver change.

Whiskey Racing are in an uncharacteristically high fifth place.

6th  to 11th are very close together and very much in touch with the leaders at this early stage, with a slightly larger gap back to Team Frogspawn in 11th.

2017 Champions happyhourhub.co.uk have dropped to a convincing last place early in the 2018 season.  A source inside the team has hinted that at least one driver may be fired before the Chinese Grand Prix.

F1 Australia

bogsters and FN’s High Flyers are off to a good start with joint first place in both the H3 league and (with 8 other teams) in the main M&B league.

Whiskey Racing is third and 4 teams are joint 4th: Ollie’s Trolleys, SnaptooRC, Team Hermes and WosDT

F1 2018

Hi all,

Happy Hour Hub (H3) Fantasy Formula One League 2018

Mitch & Brooke are open for the 2018 F1 competition and consequently the Happy Hour Hub Fantasy F1 competition is also now open.

For those of you who may not be aware, this is a small, simple, friendly and free fantasy Formula One competition which began is 2003 for users of the alt.happy.valley newsgroup.  The competition is open to all and is now hosted on the Happy Hour Hub website and powered by Mitch and Brooke’s www.fantasyautoracers.com website.  Last year participants included users of alt.happy.valley, uk.people.silversurfers and others.

To enter the league:

1. Go to www.fantasyautoracers.com and follow the instructions on the site to create a team and select your drivers from the groups.

2. Send your “Team name” (exactly as you entered it on M&B’s site) and “Team manager name” (i.e. your name or alias) to Adam by one of the following methods:

– by email or messenger, if you already have the contact info
– by posting a reply to the “HappyHourHub F1 2018” thread in news:alt.happy.valley or news:uk.people.silversurfers
– by using the submission form on the Happy Hour Hub website www.happyhourhub.co.uk

3. Follow your progress throughout the season on the F1 page of the Happy Hour Hub website.

Good luck everyone

Adam.

Updates

Hi all,

I have made a few minor changes to the F1 page and Home page and have added the 2018 Formula One race dates to the calendar.  As the new site is now almost 1 year old this would be a good time for me (over the next couple of months, subject to workload) to review the content.  So if anyone would like anything added or changed (user sites, blogs, photo galleries; useful links, event dates for calendar) please let me know.  Thanks.

Adam.

F1 2017 Finale – Abu Dhabi

Team happyhourhub.co.uk (Adam) has won the 2017 H3FF1 competition with 6th place overall in the main M&B league.

Team Frogspawn came a very convincing second with 24th overall.

Third to fifth were very close with Bogsters taking 3rd place (43rd), FN’s High Flyers 4th (44th) and Motoriety 5th (47th).

Another close group from sixth to tenth.

“wiskey raceing” managed to come not quite last (although he probably should be disqualified on spelling alone) ahead of Team Hermes in 13th and last place.

Graph has been updated.

F1 Updated

The F1 standings graph has been updated for Singapore and Malaysia.  (Was previously updated for Italy, but there was no blog entry).

Congratulations Motoriety who were the only team in the M&B league to score the maximum possible points in Malaysia.

The webmaster is also pleased to see that his team is currently leading the HV subleague 😉

Sorry about the late updates, had a photography weekend, 2 decorating weekends and then minor illness.

F1 Belgium

Team Frogspawn leads the league with 6550 points and get a mention on the news page as one of 6 teams with the highest points score in Belgium.  Bogsters are very close behind in second.  FN’s High Flyers hold on to third, with happyhourhub.co.uk very close behind in 4th.  SnaptooRC is in 5th place with Motoriety close behind in 6th.

We are now more than half way through the season and with WosDT on 6070 points we still have 7 teams within 500 points of the lead.
